Who is responsible for your information?
Broxbourne Cruising Club is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and the Club's membership and enquiry processes.
Information we collect
When you contact the Club or submit a membership request, we may collect information including your name, email address, telephone number, home address, membership interests, details about Club visits, information about a boat or mooring request, and any other information you choose to include in your message or application.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to enquiries, arrange visits, consider and administer membership requests, deal with mooring enquiries where relevant, and communicate with you about the matter for which you contacted the Club. We do not use website form information for unrelated marketing.
Website forms and FormSubmit
Our website forms use FormSubmit to send completed submissions to the Club by email. This means the information entered into a form is processed by FormSubmit in order to deliver it to Broxbourne Cruising Club. FormSubmit states that form submissions are retained by its service for 30 days. You should not include information in a form that is not relevant to your enquiry or membership request.
How long we keep information
Broxbourne Cruising Club keeps personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including membership administration and any legal or record-keeping requirements that apply.
Who we share information with
Your information may be seen by appropriate Club officers or Committee members where this is necessary to deal with your enquiry, membership request or Club administration. We do not sell your personal information. Information may also be processed by service providers used to operate the website and deliver form submissions.
Your choices and rights
You can ask the Club about the personal information it holds about you and request that inaccurate information is corrected. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have other rights under UK data protection law, including asking for information to be deleted or use of it to be restricted.
Contacting us about your information
If you have a question about how the Club uses your personal information, please use the Contact BCC form or telephone 01992 364214.
